About the IWSN

About the IWSN

The Injured Workers Support Network (IWSN) recognises that many injured workers are
not properly supported or serviced by Victoria's workers' compensation system.

We aim to fight for fairer treatment for injured workers and provide peer support
for each other as we go through the challenges of living with an injury and navigating the workers’ compensation system.

Our mission:

Create Community

The IWSN hosts regular meetings for members to foster community and a sense of belonging. Coming to terms with an injury can be very isolating, let alone dealing with the complexities of a WorkCover claim. Our meetings provide a place for mutual understanding and support where injured workers can meet others going through a similar circumstance.

Provide Information and Resources

The IWSN creates and provides information and resources that injured workers can use to assist them with their WorkCover claim.

Campaign to Improve the Lives of Injured Workers

The IWSN recognises that the WorkCover system is broken, and campaigns towards improving the system to work better for injured workers. The IWSN works in partnership with the Victorian Trades Hall Council to fight for a better system.

You don’t have to go through the WorkCover System on your own.
